Cause: (a) Safety response in the heating element has triggered.
Remedy: (for a) Replace heater or contact specialist dealer or our support service.
Cause: (a) Power cable is not plugged in at the mains. (b) Connector from heating element is not properly plugged in to control unit. (c) Safety response in control unit has triggered due to possible overload.
Remedy: (for a and b) Plug in/check mains plug or connector. (for c) Replace control unit or contact specialist dealer or our support service.
Cause: (a) Interruption between thermostat and heating element. (b) Contact resistance in the measuring cable. (c) Defect in the heating element.
Remedy: (for a) Check whether the assembly plug (heater to thermostat) is properly plugged into the thermostat. (for b) If (a) is the case and "E 001" is still displayed, plug and unplug the assembly plug (heating element to the thermostat) several times (5 to 10 times). (for c) If (a) is the case and (b) has been carried out and the message "E 001" continues to appear on the display, then there is a fault in the heating element - in this case the complete heating system must be replaced. Contact your specialist dealer or our support service.

Remedy: (for a and b) In this case, the complete heating system must be replaced. Contact your specialist dealer or our support service.
Cause: (a) Time to top up the conditioner.
Remedy: (for a) Refill conditioner and then simultaneously press the "+" and "-" and "key" symbol buttons on the control unit for about 3 seconds. You will hear a beep, then the indicator will switch off until the next reminder.

Cause: (a) Incorrectly installed heating element, with label facing downwards. (b) Protective conductor/earthing is missing/not connected to the electric circuit or at the power distributor.

Cause: (a) Precise temperature measurement, minor hysteresis (small difference between switch-on and switch-off temperature).
Remedy: (for a) No remedial action required. The service life is neither impaired nor does it increase energy consumption.
Cause: (a) Heating element damaged due to significant kink in the heating pad. (b) The cumulative residual current of all electrical devices is too high.
Remedy: (for a) Replace heating element or contact your specialist dealer or our support service. (for b) Contact an electrician or your specialist dealer or our support service.
Cause: (a) Circuit decoupler* may require adjustment.
Remedy: (for a) Contact our support service.
*To ensure that the device works correctly, the mains circuit breaker for the relevant circuit should have an adjustable sensitivity. In light of this, we recommend the mains circuit breaker from Eltako GmbH with type designation FR12 (or comparable).
