Who suffers from an allergy, is truly not to be envied. The most beautiful season for many people, in which nature awakens after a long hibernation and literally explodes with flowers, is hard to bear for allergy sufferers. The flying pollen of some grasses and plants trigger violent reactions through contact with the mucous membranes in the nose or eyes of those affected. Running noses, watery eyes, frequent sneezing and tormenting itching disperse those suffering from a pollen allergy (hay fever) people stay in the wild.
But also in the domestic four walls malefactors lurk for allergy sufferers, especially the house dust mite. In order to remove as much of the mites as possible from the habitat, as smooth as possible floors or carpets with short pile are to be preferred. Ideally, the carpets should be vacuumed with a dust filter with a vacuum cleaner every day, and damp floors should be wiped daily. If you then renounce to dried flowers, open bookcases and "Staubfänger" of all kinds and pays particular attention to the features of his bed, allergy sufferers can feel at home as well as possible.
The bed is the chosen favorite place for mites among all the places in the apartment. Everybody loses up to 0.5 liters of moisture and a few grams of skin cells during the night by sweating. While the moisture can usually be released back into the room air by sufficient daily ventilation, the scales remain inside the mattress even with the most careful cleaning. The dandruff is the preferred food of mites, which feel well in the wet and nutrient-rich climate of a bed and multiply rapidly. Although mites themselves are not dangerous or transmit diseases, their excretions can cause allergic reactions. The excrements of the mites combine with the house dust, and every time you move your mattress or shake out the textiles, you distribute the mixture in the room air. With the nocturnal rest, it is quickly over: Just in the place of deepest rest and relaxation - your bed - you suffer especially in the morning under the known annoying symptoms.
Waterbeds are always heated. The constant heat causes a rapid and reliable removal of moisture from the cover into the room. The livelihood "damp" you have so already removed the mite. In addition, the waterbed has an impermeable core, on the surface of which the mites gather and can not penetrate deeper. You can simply wipe this surface with a damp cloth. If you use special vinyl cleaning wipes or vinyl sprays from specialist retailers, you can even combine cleaning with an extra dose of care for the material. The textile cover over the water core is available in different versions and can be washed in the domestic washing machine. As a rule, a quarterly cleaning is sufficient, depending on the intensity of your allergy, you can also keep the cleansing rhythm shorter. Either way, in any case, after a successful cleaning everything is really clean. Whether mites, dust, dirt or bacteria - none of this is more in your waterbed.
With a waterbed you can breathe in the truest sense of the word as an allergic person.
The most important piece of furniture in your bedroom is therefore mite-free. So that this also applies to the rest of the bedroom, you should also note here the cleaning tips that were mentioned at the beginning of the post. And do not forget your bedding: Wash your blankets, pillowcases and linens regularly at least 60 degrees.
Bed hygiene for well-being - not just for allergy sufferers!
